A Texas Shamble is one variant of a combination between a best-ball format and a scramble format. Both players hit off of each tee box, the team chooses the best drive to play their second shot from (scramble), and then each player plays his own ball for the rest of the hole (best-ball). For each hole, each team records the better score between the two partners. Note that on Par 3 holes, the entire hole will be played individually by each player. 

At the end of day one, the tournament is flighted, and a Calcutta is held at the course on Saturday night. The number of flights depends on the final number of teams. Each team will know their Sunday flight prior to the Calcutta on Saturday night. 

On Sunday, each team will compete against all of the other teams in its flight. Each flight will have one winner. If there is a tie in any flight, the teams who are tied will go into a shootout to determine who will be the winner. Once each flight winner is announced, there will be one final shootout to determine the winner of the overall tournament. The winner of each flight will play against each other for an extended number of holes, where one team gets eliminated from contention on each hole. The number of extra holes depends on the number of flights. The last team standing from this final shootout is the tournament winner.
